Buchi Babu Sana's Peddi remains the highest-grossing South Indian release of 2026, with India net collections near 244 crore and a worldwide gross reported around 378 crore. The film released on 4 June against a reported budget of 350 crore.
The technical package is part of the story. R. Rathnavelu shot the film, Naveen Nooli cut it and A.R. Rahman composed both score and soundtrack, a combination that gave Mythri Movie Makers a film that travelled well beyond the Telugu states.
Nizam and Andhra together contributed roughly three quarters of the India number, with Karnataka adding a further eleven percent. Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor and Shiva Rajkumar lead the cast.
