Zendaya Has Two Films on the Indian Board at Once, and They're Competing With Each Other
She appears in both The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and this week the second one took the first one's screens.
Bolly BourseChristopher Nolan's The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day are both playing in Indian cinemas this week, and Zendaya appears in each. It is a rare position for any performer on this board, and rarer still that the two titles are in direct competition for the same premium screens.
The Odyssey has reached 135.38 crore net in India across fifteen days, past Oppenheimer's domestic net and inside the top twenty highest-grossing Hollywood releases here. Spider-Man opened at 60.60 crore in a single day.
The collision was immediate: The Odyssey's show count fell to 953 on the day Spider-Man arrived, from thousands the week before. Both films benefit her year; only one of them is still growing.
