Evil Dead Burn Holds a Second Week at 27.1 Crore, a Quiet Success Story

No fanfare, no franchise weight in India, just steady weekday collections that keep adding up against two much bigger releases.

Evil Dead Burn has crossed 27.1 crore net in India through its second week, a number that will not headline anyone's chart but represents a genuinely efficient run for a horror import without an established India fanbase.

The film opened respectably at 21 crore in its first week and has continued adding through its second, even while sharing screens with two of the year's biggest releases in Dhamaal 4 and The Odyssey. Horror as a genre has historically punched above its budget in India, and this release fits the pattern.

For distributors, the real story is efficiency rather than scale: a modest print count, a modest marketing spend, and a total that keeps climbing on word of mouth alone, the exact economics that make horror imports a reliable, if unglamorous, part of the release calendar.
