Varun Dhawan's Busiest Year: A Werewolf and a Wedding Comedy, Months Apart

Bhediya 2 in August and the Sunny Sanskari franchise still earning behind him. The actor is betting on volume this year.

Varun Dhawan is running one of the fuller release calendars of any Hindi lead this year, with Bhediya 2 arriving in the Independence Day corridor on the back of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari's continued life in the ensemble rom-com space.

The two films sit at opposite ends of his range: Bhediya asks for physical comedy inside a horror frame, Sunny Sanskari asked for pure ensemble charm. Together they read as a deliberate strategy, keeping him visible across genres rather than betting everything on one tentpole a year.

Whether that volume approach pays off depends entirely on Bhediya 2's opening, arriving into the most crowded weekend of the year with three other major titles sharing the same three days.
