Rajkummar Rao's Prahaar opens the August window

Prahaar: The Ujjwal Nikam Story lists on 7 August, opening the Independence Day corridor a week before the crowd arrives.

Rajkummar Rao plays the prosecutor whose courtroom record made him a household name. The film sits in the space that has served the actor well: a real story told at a mid-budget scale, released before the tentpoles take the screens.

It has a clear week before Batwara 1947, Bhediya 2 and Awarapan 2 arrive together on the holiday weekend.
