Kareena Kapoor Khan marked the actor's birthday with a black-and-white memory from their Koffee With Karan season six appearance. Professionally, Chopra returns to Indian cinema with S. S. Rajamouli's Varanasi opposite Mahesh Babu, her first Hindi-market release in close to seven years.

With the film past ₹100 crore in India, the cast has been out across cinemas in Mumbai and Delhi through the second weekend. It is the franchise's first century in nineteen years.
